The Maltichon is a mix of Maltese and Bichon Frise. They are also called Maltese Frise. Small Matichons are affectionate and loving dogs. Matichons are gentle with children and loving, family oriented dog. The Maltichons can get along with other pets and dogs among the family. They are brilliant family companions. Being a companion dog it is cheerful and playful as well. Having an excellent companion nature it will make an outstanding playing buddy to children. The kids at home must be taught to never handle this frail animal with rudeness and roughness. With a natural sociability it can tend to easy familiarize with and co-exist with other dogs and pets at home. Attentive Matichons are also alert. Maltichons are known as quiet dogs and only bark when it thinks it is necessary. It alerts the owner with bark when an unknown person approaches. This natural tendency makes them fine watchdogs. The coat of this hybrid may be fluffy, soft slightly curly to wavy coat, the coat is low shedding. They mostly type of coat is depend upon what they inherit from the parents, either a double coat or a single one. Single coat can be silky in touch on the other hand the outer coat of double coat can be rough with dense inner coat. It can adopt any of the parent breeds  colors. Dominantly the both parents are possessed the white colors so the offspring also has the white color. Some rare colors of this hybrid are cream and apricot. The grooming of this hybrid is not toilsome job; however, the coat of Maltichons required a professional clipping every four to six weeks. To keep it in a tidy look it is necessary to brush it after every day. The small in size Matichons has weight from 08 to 10 pounds and height is between 08 and 12 inches. The Maltichon's life expectancy is 12 to 15 years.
